My name is Tatum Long. I play soccer for sporting Iowa and Roosevelt high school. I love watching and playing soccer. My favorite men's soccer team is Barcelona. My favorite woman's team is the Woman's US national team. My main position is outside defense. Soccer is my favorite sport. I have been playing soccer for a very long time. I have also played on many different teams. This blog is about my soccer life. it is about games and tournaments I won and how I got into playing soccer. Its also about my soccer team and how they have helped me get better. I am writing about my soccer life because its my favorite thing to do. I want to share to people about what I love to do. I want to share my goals and how I got to playing soccer. Soccer is a very important part of my life.

Heartland KC tournament

In the fall with my sporting Iowa team we drove to Kansas city for the heartland tournament. We played really good teams and some of the teams were even older than my age group. The first game of the tournament we won 2-0. It was a challenging game and we worked really hard and never gave up. The second game we lost. My team assumed that we would win since the team we beat won to them. The first half of the game my whole team wasn't playing very well and we were not focused. We didn't do better till the second half which was to late by then. We lost 3-1. We learned that even though we might win doesn't mean we can give up and not try hard and we lost because we assumed we would win. We won our third game so we moved on to the semi-finals. We played an older team and they were really good. My team got a goal in the first half and were able to stop them from scoring. We won 1-0 so we moved on to the finals. State Cup

My sporting team had to win one game to get into the state cup. This was our goal the whole season. We wanted to make it to state and to the semifinals. If we didn't win this game we wouldn't move on. It was a very stressful game and I was getting very scared and nervous. My team cheered me on and gave me support to help me do well in the game. We ended up winning the game 3-1. It was stressful but we were able to win and move on. After that game we got into state cup. We had three games to play. The first one we lost but the team we were playing was better than us. We still fought hard and played well. The second game we won but it was a close game. The third game we lost. We tried hard but we couldn't get a goal. Because we lost two games we went to the presidents cup instead of state cup. We had one game my team had to win to move onto the semi finals in the presidents cup. The team we had to play was sporting A1 and my team was sporting A2. We had to play our friend...
